Dr. Ken Kreuzer, a native of Webster, New York, studied composition with Dr. Mark Taggart and Dr. Robert Carl.
He is a graduate of Ithaca College, East Carolina University, and the University of Hartford, where he received a doctorate of musical arts in music composition. Ken has taken additional lessons with Steve Gryc, Adolphus Hailstork, Anthony Kelley, Joan Tower and Dana Wilson.
Kreuzer's music has been widely performed throughout America, Canada, China, England, Poland and Taiwan. His compositions have been heard at various conventions, workshops and festivals across the US.
He has had works commissioned by numerous individuals and groups. Kreuzer's music appears on Albany Records, Arizona University Records, Krusher Enterprises, MSR Classics and The Tidewater Winds CD Series.
Ken presently teaches brass and percussion in Honeoye Falls. In addition to composing and teaching, he performs in a variety of jazz and rock groups, including the Virtual Trio, DIQ quartet and Sugar Buzz.
